Malaysia Airlines’ Baggage Allowance

The Malaysia Airlines baggage allowance is generous. First Class passengers may carry 50 kgs of checked in luggage while those from the Business Class are entitled to 40 kgs. Economy Class travelers are allowed checked-in baggage of 30 kgs. Your luggage should be in bags that have total dimensions of 158 cms. A single piece of checked in baggage should not exceed 32 kgs. This is irrespective of the cabin class.

For passengers traveling with an infant, a single bag, no bigger than 115 cms, is allowed as cabin baggage. Additionally, they may also carry one collapsible pushchair/stroller or bassinet. The total weight of both the bag and the pushchair/stroller or bassinet should not exceed 10 kgs.

All bulky items like musical instruments and sports gear will have to be checked in, but only after they are fit into protective covers.
