Kuwait Airways is the flag carrier of Kuwait and is headquartered at Kuwait International Airport. It was founded in 1953 by a group of Kuwaiti businessmen and started operation in 1954. The airline was acquired by the Government of Kuwait with a 50% stake which later increased to 100% shareholding.
The airline is now completely owned by the Government of Kuwait. It is one of the oldest airlines in Kuwait. The airline flies to 34 international destinations across Europe, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East and North America. The new narrow-body aircraft A320neo and A330-800nes are fuel efficient and eco-friendly. The Airbus A330-200 is a wide-body aircraft with 212 seats split into two cabins and two aisles. The new Boeing B777-300ER is the flagship aircraft of the fleet with the world’s largest and most powerful engine. In this aircraft, the different classes of travel offered are the Royal class, Business class, Premium Economy and Economy.

The baggage allowance for Economy class and V & T fare type is 1 piece of 32 kg and for all fares except V & T is 2 pieces of 23 kg each. For both a handbag of up to 7 kg is allowed.
